TGIF

Well what else can you say...It is Friday and a holiday long weekend. I'm so ready for it. I did have big plans and was going to be really busy running here and there...but they have all been canceled on me. So I guess I'll just stay around the house and craft. I'm looking so forward to it. I usually try to find alot to do to keep me busy when my hubby works the weekend. But there are times when I like it when I have nothing planned and I can play in my craft room.

I have some projects I can't wait to get started on. I do have to finish up and pack up some dolls for my lady in DC. So that will be first priority tonight and get it ready to mail tomorrow. Those dolls are so fun to do. And this time she wanted a couple of fall dolls and anything fall just gets me so excited. I love fall. I did a couple of new dolls for her too and I'm anxious to see what she thinks.

I need to get my digital camera operating and try to posts some pics of the things I'm talking about...I would also like to post some pics of my craft room. It is a bonus room above our garage and I just love it. I am so lucky to have such a great room.

Well almost time to start heading home...Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend...

New to this

OK, so here I am going to be a "blogger"....I think this might be fun. I am a big chatter, so this could be a way to really put it out there...

So much going on in my life right now...Right now I'm a mother of 2, Amanda 24, married to Jimmy who is 26, and I have a son Jacob who is 17 and married (yes married-read on!) and married to sweet little Tessi who is 17. I have a wonderful wonderful husband Johnny who we have been married for 15 years...love Love LOVE this man of mine! AND I'm going to be a grandmother in a couple of weeks! Wow a grandmother. I will be Mamaw and Johnny will be Papaw. I can't wait for the little one to get here. My son, Jacob is only 17...He has been a handful for about the past year and half...when he got his license, he had a few "growing pains" (that is what I like to call them). It was hard on all of us, but through it all I still love this kid so much, it aches my heart. He is so much like me. So many ways. Sometimes it makes him mad and he says "it's your fault, mom, I'm just like you!" But, yeah, he is my wild child...Well him and his sweetie told us in Feb or well we suspected it so I just ask.."I need to just flat out ask you something, is Tessi pregnant?" and he said yes....So there...wow, I'm going to be a grandmother...

They got married June 1. It was a simple, yet one of the sweetest little ceremonies. They got married at a friend of mine and Johnny's beautiful gazebo. We found out they could get married the night before. Her parents just up and just told them to "get married this weekend" ....okkkkkkk...So they did. We didn't really do anything til we had the license in hand which was at 1:00 or so Friday, June 1. So here we goooooo...My sweet daughter Amanda, who adores her little brother got busy and went to ACMoore and bought flowers to make a bouquet..then she went by Cracker Barrell and got some of those little striped candies (one of Tessi and Jacob's favorite candies) to make a wedding favor with cute little hearts with their name on it. Tessi and her mom went to get her hair cut and find a dress...we set off in the other direction to buy rings, which we had to wait a couple of hours for sizing..and then off to the mall to buy cloths which were black bondage pants and a black long sleeve shirt and then back to get the rings and then to WalMart for cake, cups, napkins, plates and sparkling grapes OH and some stuff to make birdseed bags to through at the happy couple...all in the mean time calling Pigeon Forge to surprise them with a little nights stay at the Music Road Hotel getaway...OH and to get the minister...who ended up being the sweetest little 83 year old man who had been married to his bride for over 63 years and she had passed away a couple years prior. But when I ask him about the ceremony and what he would do, he said "oh I have a ceremony and it is all about LoVe..." How sweet is that? Anyway, the wedding happened, it was so sweet and now we are waiting on the little one.

Tessi has had a great pregnancy. She hasn't had any problems at all. She is the sweetest thing and we are so blessed she is part of our family. We all simply adore her.. Tho it is not all perfect. We DO have 2 teenagers in our house! But we all get along really well. Life seems to have calmed down somewhat.

Anyway...guess I'll let this be the first blog of my life. And we'll see where it goes from here. I would like to be one of those bloggers who posts lots of pics. So hopefully I'll try to learn how to do that later..I'm a scrapbooker so I take lots of pictures and love showing off my family, especially when I get that little grandson here!

Take care and enjoy "Ribbons of Time"...there is so much out there and it is SO colorful!!
