It has really been busy around the little farm. We are trying to burn off a huge brush pile that we "bought" when we bought the house. My plan is to make that area a little herb garden. I would like to add a little Fairy Garden too. I think those are just so cute. I have a plan on what I want to grow in that area. Hopefully one more burn session and we will have it all gone. I'm telling you, it was HUGE! We will always have a brush pile with 5 acres and lots of trees, but our brush pile will be more off the side of the property instead of right in the middle of it. We will be planing our regular garden soon. We are looking for someone to till the area now. I wish we had a tractor, I would SO ride it! Finished some dolls for my sweet lady in Washington DC. This was one of the hardest patterns I have ever done. I hope she never asks me to do these again. They were not fun. They are the size of a toddler. No kidding! But I love the colors she chose to make them. They are so happy and bright. I also made the 2 little Dinky Babies Annie and Rootie. They are so cute. I wasn't sure on the face but I really love how it looks. Love their sweet little faces. Now I'm getting ready to start another order. I'll post pictures of those when I get them done. I've been scrapbooking alot from classes I'm taking on Big Picture...I am so glad I joined Big Picture Classes. I have had so much fun taking these classes and I have learned so much. I have learned alot on my Silhouette. That machine is limitless on what it can do. Seriously so much fun. A couple of my favorite right now are any Paige's Pages, and I just finished Jen Schow Watercoloring Script. Seriously some good classes. A few layouts from the classes
There are so many others. I will just start with these for now. It has brought my scrapbooking to a whole new level. And I'm really loving it. Well off to sub right now. 5th graders. Subbed 4th grade yesterday and I'm still loving it. These kids are so much fun. They just crack me up every day. Even the ones who are a little misunderstood make my day. ta-ta for now! Louise

Pictures of my little corner of the world...my craft area.

In all it's glorious mess....
Since my last post we have moved to a smaller home. It's called downsizing. HA....Just take note that when you downsize be sure to downsize your stuff before you downsize the house. BIG mistake on our part. But after 3 years we are about to get there. It feels so good to get rid of all that stuff. It was way too much and now I'm a little more selective on what I buy. I still love my antiques and vintage collections. Those were the things I kept the most of. Moving here was a good thing. We have 5 acres of land and we have been growing a garden. This will be the 4th year growing our little garden. The first year it was amazing at how well God took over and everything just grew. One thing I didn't think of was that there is alot of work in having a garden even after the planting. I never thought of what was next after all that stuff grew. I guess I was just amazed that it grew at all. LOL But I canned 52 quarts of beans (1 quart per week in the year), froze corn, okra, and bell peppers. We had cucumbers galore. I canned sweet lime pickles, bread and butter pickles and dill pickles~2 times. The sweet pickles were my favorite, the bread and butter came out really good too...next time I won't use so many onions. The dill pickles were horrible, both batches....I gave away gave away and gave away lots of okra and cucumbers. Shared beans and so much more. I even canned a dozen quart jars of green beans for my daughter who lives in Texas now. It was all so much fun...Looking forward to garden season to start up soon. I still love my crafting...Really love papercrafting. I got a Silhouette Cameo and I didn't open the box for a year. But when I did, I haven't looked back. I have taken classes on Craftsy by Paige Evans and learned so much about how to use it. I love it now and use it on almost every page layout. I've used it for party decorations, Valentine cards, mini books, and so many other paper crafting ideas. It is limitless I tell you!! I'll never tire of it. I also substitute teach at local elementary schools. This was my first year...Oh my those kids are so funny. Somehow I missed my calling on this one. I just love those kids. I come home every day smiling and laughing. I fill my husbands ears with stories for hours about them. They are the cutest things. I love it!! I hope to share and get better at sharing with this blog...I want to share Pinterest ideas and recipes that are fail or sucessess. I want to share my gardening, my subbing adventures, my summer with my grandson, my family, my home, my pets, my likes and dislikes, my crafting adventures, my collecting and so so much more. I hope I can do this. For now I'm going to research this thing called blogging and find out how to make it mean something. I'll be back soon. tat-ta for now!!

one month

Just one month left in this year. I can't believe it is almost over. This has been one of the worst years. So much sadness and disappointments and worry. From my sister being homeless, to my dad passing away, my son and his wife splitting and then divorcing, a car accident, what else?? Just a sad hard year. Seems one thing after another has been happening. I told Johnny I was so afraid of what was going to happen next. I haven't been sleeping good worrying about it. But then I have my sweet Taigen who hugs my neck so hard and tells me "I love you mamaw"...that bring hope and light into my life. I don't know what my life would be without this sweet little blessing.
